Bombový útok na bostonský Maraton.
Stalo se to v pondělí dva atentátníci nastražily do odpadkových košů výbušná zařízení . Později policisté zjistily jména byly to bratři starší Tamarlan a mladší Džochara Carnajevové . Pocházely údajně z Čečny a v dětství se přestěhovaly i z rodiči do Bostnu kde vyrůstaly . Měla to být údajně odveta za bombové útoky na Afganistán a v Čečně . Bomby byly vyrobeny po domácku z tlakových hrnců napěchovaných hřebíky byly tam přidány výbušniny . Byly nastraženy u cíle a potom dál , při tomto výbuchu umřely tři lidé . Jeden z nich osmiletý Martin Richard právě sledoval jak dobýhaly do cíle když šel do náruče své maminky bomby vybuchly napřed první kousek od cíle a pár metrů druhá byl to zničující výbuch . Martin šel za maminkou a v její náruči zemřel čekal na svého otce už se nedočkal . Krátce po činu se maminka Martina zhroutila je v péči psichyatrů i jeho otec se zhroutil Martinova sestra je těžce zraněná a druhá vyvázla s pár odřeninami . Další oběť dívka Lu ze severočínského města Šen-Jang , třetí oběť 29 let dívka Krystle Campbellová také jako Martin z Bostnu , 176 lidí bylo zraněno převážně v dolní části . Atentátníci chtěli zaútočit hned po tomto bombovém útoku na samotné srdce města New Yorku Times Square naštěstí to už nestihly při přestřelce byl zabit policista a jednoho těžce zranily podařilo se jim zastřelit staršího z bratrů a mladší jim unikal podařilo se jim ho dopadnout v jedné z ulic v Bostonu byl schovaný v lodi při zatýkání mladší bratr chtěl spáchat sebevraždu postřelil se na krku tento čin nedokonal .
